In August 2015 Senate Bill 11, also known as "campus carry," went into effect in Texas, allowing students on 38 public campuses to carry concealed, loaded handguns to class. More than 200 colleges in the country allow students to carry guns on campus, which raises public concern. On the first day of classes at the University of Texas, Austin, a student group called “Cocks Not Glocks” gave out over 5,000 dildos to protest SB11. The cheeky handouts were meant to highlight the absurdity of state laws that allow handguns in public but not sex toys.
