We begin this life not knowing judgements against others. Never concerned by race, gender, hatred, greed or malice. A first child, his parents were kind, warm, equally supporting. I often think of 5 month-old, Jonathan, whenever hearing tales of indifference, hatred towards another, traits that stain us, permeates negativity to ourselves and society. In a few months I return to Rio for a workshop, eager to see this gentle fellow now touching the age of 5. Sensing his parents mutual respect will have been given, knowing we are all the same, no matter who we are or what life has already chosen for us. Kindness, that knows only truth.
