Does every single workout have to be amazing? Do you always have to push yourself to your absolute limits? In short: no. Today has been a weird one for me. I'm in a bit of a crappy mood which is very unlike me. (But I have a sneaky suspicion is has something to do with my hormones, ladies you know the feels ?). I woke up, went to the gym and did a few sets of pull ups. I wasn't feeling it so went home. Later on in the day I tried again and I did end up training, but I didn't feel strong. I didn't push myself. I just lifted my usual weights and didn't step out of my comfort zone. Plus, a few people said hey to me in the gym today. I consciously tried to be upbeat and talkative but I just wasn't in my usual positive mindset. Again, very unlike me. I felt kind of disappointed in myself. Why am I telling you this? Because we are all human. We can't always have the best workouts ever. Always be full of beans. Always be in a good mood. And you know what? We don't need to be. Half hearted workouts and half hearted days happen to the best of us. But what matters is that you move on from them and try again the next day.
