#SaveTheOcean & Turn up volume to enjoy this clip of #WhaleWithSharks I am overjoyed and beyond grateful for this experience today having a whale swim up to us and sleeping below the boat for 15 min or more while we were moored #Freedivingwithsharks for a #pelagicresearch #sharkresearchdive I think there are not enough words to describe the feelings I went through when the white pectorals first caught my eye in the distance as the whale approached us I had that terrible feeling that this floating white thing was yet another piece of marine debris like the many plastic bags we pick up constantly in the currents, as it got closer I felt sicker thinking that it's size and strange coloration it might be a drift #ghostnet and as dangerous as they are to grab I knew I wouldn't be able to just let it pass, but as it came into full view and floated perfectly below us I experienced to overwhelming feeling of relief, joy, gratitude, honor, and mostly gratitude and excitement for this incredible visit. After around 15 min in which time I don't think I ever stopped thinking #omg omg omg #? #? Omg Sharks with another species, behavior footage, omg omg omg, the whale swam up at the boat, the engines were off and we were moored there was nothing to do and suddenly it woke and rolled to its side and looked up at me and my heart pretty much just stopped and yeah def a selfie worthy moment ?. Please help save the Ocean please so these incredible, beautiful, amazing animals will be able to continue to exist. #SaveSharks #SaveWhales #ForTheFuture generations and now. I'm humbled and grateful to have had as many breath taking experiences as I have and it never ever ever gets old.
