On day two in the Seychelles, with the skiffs parked about a mile away, running back in the waist deep water to beat the wall of rain wasn't an option.
Keith, the lead guide @alphonsefishingco had been chasing a school of Giant Trevally and wasn't going to let the rain stop him. So I kept shooting. We did our best to cover the @phaseonephoto #xf100 with our t-shirts (because who packs rain jackets), and I pulled out the @NikonUSA #d810 to suffer in the torrential rain.
We were able to keep shooting for another 5 minutes before everything was wet, fogged and starting to malfunction. We stood and watched as Keith continued the hunt and we crossed our fingers that a little rice would dry out or cameras overnight.
This was one of the last frames before the rain won the battle, and if you look close, even in low res, you can see the imperfections of the water running in front of the lens. #camp4pix
