Photo by @andywcoleman // Upper Navajo Falls, also known as New Navajo Falls, is one of two waterfalls in Havasu Canyon that were created by redirection of waters due to a massive flash flood in 2008. This is sort of an appetizer before you get to the larger waterfalls in the area (Havasu, Mooney and Beaver Falls). Getting here isn't easy - you need to hike, horse ride or helicopter ride the 8 miles to the village, and another 2 miles to the main campground. Plan on spending at least two nights here so you can take your time enjoying the turquoise waters and the hikes to the falls.
