Revisiting 'Esperanza' (v14) Hueco Tanks

I first did this problem back in 05 when I was 15. The infamous cover photo on the Hueco guide book of @フレッド・二コル cranking through on thin, perfectly sculpted incut edges out a near horizontal roof, was enough for me to create an obsession to do this line. At such a young age I did not know if it was possible, but made it work. Fast forward 12 years and I still get the same feeling about this line as I did when I was young. This time my approach to it is filled with confidence instead of disbelief. The only factor holding me back was the hot air temperature from the sun. I fought hard but came up empty handed, falling on the last move to the finish jug. Guess I was stronger 12 years ago ?. I am easily distracted by outside forces which are out of my control. So much of hard climbing boils down to air temperatures and humidity levels that coincide. It is possible to ignore this and miraculously pull through, but most of the time that is not the case. Heat lowered my confidence which made me feel weak on the final section and resulted in failure. In the end though everything is just a mind game. If I ignored the negativity which consumed my head, maybe my result would have been different ?... fun challenge nonetheless.
