Board climbing has always been my go to for leveling up finger power and body tension. This is what real rock climbing tests within one’s human. I train mostly on a spray wall (45-55 degrees overhung is ideal for me). This allows me to create a multitude of lines that will level me up for my outdoor projects. Without this tool, I would not be climbing hard lines outside consistently. I teamed up with one of my good friends, Andy Raether, to help design a training board. Andy is also dedicated to pushing his limits outside and knows the importance of training to do so. We wanted to create something that was ultimately fun, inspiring, and productive to use. We both agree that a board should consist of holds and movements that resemble what you would find outside. After a long process the “Woods Board” is born. Woods Board Features: 12x12 (other sizes coming within this coming year), 726 holds (mostly all wood with plastic feet), 3000+ current total set lines (and counting), 230 lines from v9-v13 (7C-8B), 178 projects from v13-15 (8B-8C and counting), spray wall feel but also can be mirrored The Woods Board offers lines for all grade levels. It is designed to set lines that can be dynamic in movement but also static. You can set hard lines that cater to the smaller climber but also get morpho with it. The Woods board has more than double the amount of holds compared to the other boards on the market. This allows for more variety to set small or big. Since 70% of the holds are wood, you are able to have longer sessions without destroying your skin. Our wooden grips are super comfy.
