Once there was water in abundance in Moynak, Uzbekistan, then during the Soviet era water was diverted from the Aral for irrigation. More than 40 years later, my dear friend and social media assistant on this overland car journey of the @outofedenwalk for @ナショナルジオグラフィック, @yulia_grigoryants walks over snow sprinkled upon the former seabed of the Aral Sea, amongst the ghost ships that line the former shoreline.
