On offer will be these French and Russian gilt-tooled leather articles from the 18th to 20th centuries (lots 362-366), some with royal provenance. On the left, sitting diagonally, is a royal Louis XV gilt-embossed leather box with the coat-of-arms of Marie-Antoinette and Louis-Auguste as Dauphine and Dauphin of France. They would have owned this as a young, newly married couple before they became King and Queen and would likely have used it as a travel accessory. --
