Mark Rothko’s groundbreaking No. 1 is one of the standout works leading our Post-War and Contemporary Art Evening Auction on 7 March in London.

The painting, which remained part of the artist’s collection until his death in 1970, is now on view at Christie's Hong Kong until 20 January along with many other highlights from our 20th Century sales – before touring to Shanghai on 8 February, Beijing between 11-13 February, New York from 24-26 February, and finally arriving in London for the sale #Christies20thCentury
