When you are in Yellowstone NP and you are not out looking for wolves, strolling past mud pots, or gazing at prismatic springs, odds are you will be at this incredible place waiting for the sunset, and if you are lucky, an eruption. This is Great Fountain Geyser, located in the lower geyser basin of Yellowstone. With regular eruptions (between 9 and 15 hour intervals), and this dramatic scenery, it is without a doubt my favorite spot in Yellowstone to be when the sun is going down.
