Diagnosis: partial A4 pulley tear.
Rehab exercise #1: blood-flow-restricted wrist curls towards and away from body. This is to get really pumped, and by restricting blood flow this process is more time friendly. HOWEVER, this doesnt mean you should tie a belt around your bicep and go to town. That fancy band around my sleeve is pumped full of air to an optimal pressure; at any more or any less the benefits begin to fade. Once the band is taken off, blood floods back into my entire arm, including the injured finger. Blood flow = healing.
Estimated recovery time: I plan to start tentatively climbing after another week, and should be good to go in time for nationals? @c4hp @whitepineathletics #growstrong
