Who Am I ~ @bridging.stories, A Project About All of Us

Join us by sharing your self portraits, asking yourself, Who Am I, then hashtag #bridgingstories.

For the last four months, I have asked 12 photographers from Armenia, 12 from Turkey, to delve into such a complex, beautifully intimate question. Supported by a generous grant from the #USEmbassyYerevan, the project, #bridgingstories, has been empowering photographers in their own countries to tell the narrative of their lives, using photography as a means to enlighten and share our collective similarities, bridge indifference, building bridges between two wonderful nations and yes, building peace.

In equal collaboration with the incredible photographer talents of @anushbabajanyan and @serraakcan, we have been teaching, inspiring these twelve photographers since August. This week we begin editing from more than 500 photographs for the final 72 images that will be part of two powerful exhibitions in January 2017, one in Yerevan opening January 24, the other in Istanbul opening January 27.
