With five million visitors each year, solitude can be hard to find in the Grand Canyon. But if you visit in the off season or explore the North Rim, solitude can be still found. Last week we explored some remote spots on the North Rim and didn't see anyone except a friendly park ranger. It's best to check with the park service before visiting in the winter to see what parts of the park are open and accessible.
