On assignment for @National Geographic Travel in Nepal // Photo by@alisonwrightphoto // Words by @carriemiller_writer // Assignments are teamwork. They involve photographers, writers, story editors, photo editors, researchers, etc., all striving to create and curate a story that will strike through to readers like lightning, inspiring and engaging them. Most of the time we work alone in the field, but every so often, the writer and photographer get to travel together, which photographer Alison Wright and I feel produces cohesion. And it's a lot more fun. One thing I've learned, though, is that sunrise and sunset are photographers' witching hours, when they get twitchy and focused.
