"Today, I'm a hopeful American. This past Tuesday I spent all day meeting with Republican and Democrat Members of Congress to discuss a solution on climate change. No matter who's in office, I feel incredibly lucky to live in a country where I can have an impact on government not once every four years, but every day. I used to think that there just wasn't a solution big enough to match the problem of climate change, but my view on that changed when I found Citizens' Climate Lobby, a group that builds the political will for a livable world and lobbies Congress to put a price on carbon. It's groups like Citizens' Climate Lobby and the #PutAPriceOnIt campaign that have given me hope. There ARE solutions to match the problem and I stand here more motivated than ever to fight for our environment not just during the next four years, but for the remainder of my life.”
