Its sand tracks as far west as the Caribbean Sea, Florida and the Gulf of Mexico and is even known to act like a fertilizer for the Amazon rainforest. Locally, on the west coast of Africa the sand contributes to hazy skies creating surreal setting and magical sunsets. I don't think I've ever seen light quite like this. One of the many unexpected wonders of this stark environment. @natgeocreative #sahara #desert
