Second up for art world insider @hikariyoko’s takeover, a marvellous piece from @marciusgalan @friezeartfair. “This minimalist painting by @marciusgalan is actually made up of several worn down erasers, carefully rubbed to different sizes. The remains of their dust sits at the bottom of the frame. When I met Marcius in Brazil, he told me that this work was a result of a lot of failed drawings. He was struggling in the studio to come up with something good, but frustratingly, just kept going through eraser after eraser. When he finally came to peace with his failure, he suddenly saw that he had actually discovered a new body of work!” ? courtesy of @galerialuisastrina @friezeartfair.
