In 1951 my papa moved from Finland to Canada, in hope of giving his family a better quality life. My Mummu and uncle joined him shortly after and they settled on life in Northern Ontario. I was raised with strong Finnish traditions, from a family of proud Finlander's. I'm so proud that my Finnish SISU has driven my skating career and is now giving me the opportunity to visit Finland this year, not just once, but hopefully twice.
