A moment of truth: I used to wear padded bras under my sports bras because I was self conscious about my breast size. When I started modeling, i got so many negative comments about my breast size and body in general. And regardless of what anyone says, those things get to you after a while, even if you didn't have an insecurity about it In the first place. I began to doubt myself and my journey and finally came to this place where I needed to decide whether I wanted to give into what other people thought I needed to look "beautiful", or stay true to myself and find that acceptance within myself. I decided to embrace it. All of it. My thick legs, my cellulite, my short arms and small breasts. All of those things are part of me but I sure as hell don't let them completely define me. The things that have power over us are the things that we give our attention and energy to, so I decided that I would channel that energy and focus into helping other women find that same self acceptance. Because when we stop focusing on all of the little superficial things that consume us from the day to day, we're able to see more, achieve more, and inspire so many more. I wanted that. I wanted to be a link of a chain reaction where women stand up to society's definition of "beautiful" by realizing that they are beautiful just as they are. Yesterday I wore a tight top over a tighter sports bra and I caught myself being critical in the mirror during my workout. The feelings took me by absolute surprise. I hadn't felt those things for years, but it time warped me right back to that place of self-critical sabotage and tunnel vision. In a world where plastic surgery is becoming more and more commonplace, I'm here to tell you that you don't have to change yourselves to find happiness and security. If you keep comparing yourselves to others, surgery or no surgery, you will never be satisfied. That acceptance comes from within you and involves ONLY you. You are beautiful and you are enough- just as you are.✨ #ittybittytittycommittee #fitandthick #womenempowerment #bodypositive
