If there is some illusion that my life is a vacation then here is a dose of reality. I work just like any other human. In my life I have given up a lot to create a career that takes me to places I am passionate about. I wish there was some Instagram success story here but it couldn't be farther from the truth. 11 years ago I quit school, multiple jobs, & lived out of trucks & vans before It was #vanlife .... for me it was just real life. Cans of tuna 3 days a week. I cut my teeth on a career in photography before I even owned a passport. Because I never imagined it would actually take me anywhere. It wasn't always the pretty landscapes and incredible far flung locations. When I started I would shoot literally anything that would have put food on the table & gas in the tank. And I did.. I shot everything. Because I wanted more than anything to make a living as a photographer.. Or rather an Artist.

Why do I write this? Because the number One question I get in DM's, emails and any other form of contact is "How did you get to where you are today?" And the answer is simple.. Maybe more Simple than most people want to hear. You work your ass off. In fact be willing to work when others aren't. When it gets late and everyone else is out having a good time. All the technical aspects of photography will come easy trust me. I cringe when I say that because some people out there think there's a trick... Some sort of formula you can use to bypass the hard work. The truth is when you put your art first before all your other needs (sometimes even relationships take a back seat) that you start to notice a difference. Does your social-life suffer? Yes.. Is it meant to be easy .. No. Was that the answer you wanted to hear ? Probably not. ✌?️
