The results are in and we have a winner for our latest Instagram contest sponsored by @tamronusa! Congratulations to our First Place winner @itspratama for his image of meals being prepared for Ramadhan in the Jogokariyan Mosque in Yogyakarta, Indonesia! Our judge @ジョン・スタンメイヤー had this to say about the winning image: “While both the first and second place images are brilliant, this image rose to the top for various reasons — it was different. Unexpected. Well composed. Layered and filled with vignettes. Not stretched in post production. There were many important and beautiful images to choose from in the entire collection of submitted images. This photographer decided to bring all of us into a typical event I have witnessed many times before, asking myself how to make this interesting? That is our challenge. That is what photography is about, presenting the world, all it’s issues, beauties and horrors, to viewers in a way we haven’t necessarily seen before.
