One of my mentors once told me, "If the people you are leading feel encouraged and empowered, they will bring their best and will reach new heights within themselves that they didn't know were there. And if you keep leading well, there will come a time where their capabilities will make you question your own. Don't let that stop you from leading and encouraging well, don't ever let that tempt you to hold them back. If your team at some point doesn't make you sweat your own position, then you're not empowering them enough. The best leaders are the ones whose ceiling becomes the floor for others to leap from. Leaders create legacy. What will yours be?" •
I feel really blessed that I am surrounded by some of the best leaders and mentors out there. There is no greater feeling than when you know that you know those around believe in you and want you to flourish in all things. Those are always the ones you go the extra miles for. And with pleasure doing so. •
