My images often feature specimens that I find in my own backyard, on my way to teach a course, or waiting for an appointment. This potato was resting on the counter near the kitchen sink for a month or so, my wife meaning to plant it. For one reason or another we decided not to, and I took it to my light table. I love capturing these simple, beautiful forms. #food #agriculture #portrait
