I had one week to photograph the shores of the Caspian Sea before reaching Azerbaijan by boat. On the small island of Cheleken, I unintentionally witnessed a scene which filled me with joy. Light gently touched on a group of actors rehearsing a local tale. A poetical moment, when the photographs are imbued with lyricism, where perfection lies in the protagonists’ movements, the lines and light are harmonious: a sheer gift for the eyes and for me as a photographer.
