The most iconic image of the Spanish Civil War – and indeed of Capa’s career – is the photograph of a Spanish Republican militiaman falling down wounded on the Córdoba front line.
80 years ago this photo brought Capa to global fame after it became an anti-fascist icon. The symbolic impact and influence of this photograph remains as potent today as it was then.
