This is Maggie, she's a snazzy little bobby-dazzler. She filled me in on how we are currently celebrating National NAIDOC week in Australia in honour of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people and their culture... The theme for 2016 is “Songlines- the living narrative of our nation”. Maggie's all over the Australian indigenous culture, she broke it down how during the Dreamtime~ the earth, people and animals were created by ancestral spiritual beings and that they created the rivers and hills, gorges and lakes, the plants and all the living creatures. The Songlines are the tracks where the ancestors travelled over the land and “sung” the land into life through dance, song, art and ceremony...
