Photo by @andywcoleman // The tall grasses in the Masai Mara that attract the Great Migration are also a perfect place for predators to hide. Even though they were only a few feet from the road, we drove by this breeding pair of lions twice as they spent most of the day doing what lions do - sleeping. Fortunately, the male lion had his head raised when we passed this area a third time and we were able to spend some quality time with the duo. Sure, lions may be harder to find, but this is a great time to visit Kenya as the colors and textures of the tall grasses can make for spectacular backgrounds for the wildlife.
