Friends, I think this @houstonhumane is the ONLY Humane Society in America that declaws cats. They are deceiving cat owners to think that declawing is safe and humane for their cats. Please read the full story on the link on my instagram bio.
You will be horrified as to how they justify declawing cats.
Please respectfully and nicely ask them to have educational declawing info available at their humane society so that the public will understand why declawing is inhumane and harmful for a cat.
Please ask HHS if they will have educational info about the humane alternatives like scratchers and soft paws.
Please ask them to do the right thing and stop acquiescing to cat owners who ask to get the poor cats toe bones and claws amputated after they adopt them or when they bring them in to their HHS clinic. Many of these cat owners don't even know that declawing is an amputation procedure.
HHS is deleting ALL of your respectful comments on social media so please take a screenshot of it after you post it and email it to me at citythekitty@gmail.com . I will add it to my story.
They don't want people to know that this is going on. Pls do NOT threaten them and just be inspiring and hopefully someone at HHS has a heart and will realize the absurdity of what they are doing and that it is so very wrong.
They say they are about ending animal cruelty and abuse yet when people ask for declaws, they are performing it on their own cats that are up for adoption and ones cat owners being to their clinic. ??????
