Electors in six states – California, Montana, New Jersey, New Mexico, North Dakota and South Dakota – are going to the polls today. The stakes are high in the Democratic presidential race as Sen. Bernie Sanders hopes to win California in his bid to influence the Democratic party’s platform at the convention. For former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, today’s contest should cement her hold on the nomination, which the Associated Press called on June 6, 2016.
