The Air Force Thunderbirds fly overhead as cadets from the U.S. Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs, Colo., celebrate with a "hat toss" their graduation on June 2, 2016. President Barack Obama gave the commencement speech at the academy, where he implored the next generation of U.S. Military leaders not to give in to isolationism. "It's not possible in this globalized, interconnected world," he said according to the Associated Press. "In these uncertain times, it's tempting sometimes to try to pull back and wash our hands from conflicts that seem intractable, let other countries fend of themselves." After the ceremony, the Air Force reported that one of the jets that performed in the ceremony crashed in a field outside Colorado Springs. The pilot ejected safely and was unhurt.
