Co-founder Henri Cartier-Bresson described the Magnum Photos agency as "a community of thought”. The co-operative was founded to support its members' photographic practices, a diverse range of styles brought together in a powerful collaboration.
Every year the Magnum family meets at the Annual General Meeting and votes on potential new members who can contribute the growth of the Magnum community.
