The classic Joe Blau [8c+] in Oliana. This was the hardest thing I sent over my two months in Spain. Even though I always referred to it as my "trainer proj" for Papichulo, it ended up being the only chains I felt proud of clipping. Failure often dominated my perspective of how a climbing trip was in the past, but for some reason I cant describe this experience as such. Just because I didn't summit the peak I wanted, doesn't mean I didn't get high enough to see the summits of all the peaks I never had a chance of seeing in the past. Climbing is a crazy journey; just when you think you have your head around it all, everything changes, motivation is renewed, everything refreshes, and magically, its a brand new game.
