From @jenpeedom: "This was the highest I went on Everest – Camp 4 – 27,500 ft. My job on this project was to film the team leaving before mid-night and heading off into the night, then film them coming back down to the relative safety of Camp 4. I spent the day alone here, 1300ft / 400m below the summit. It was an incredible experience. I didn’t sleep a wink in this tent – aside from the fact it was on a crazy slope, there was just too much preparation to be done with the cameras and sound equipment before the team headed off to the summit." Jennifer Peedom is an experienced climber, and has worked as a high altitude director on several expeditions including Discovery Channel’s six-part series EVEREST: BEYOND THE LIMIT. She has developed a strong friendship with Sherpa people over many years of working in the Himalayas since 2004, and these connections were key to the access granted in the making of #Sherpa. She's taking over our Instagram today in honor of the documentary, airing tomorrow at 9/8c as part of #ElevationWeekend on #Discovery!
