3 days of traveling later !! with my partner @damanibaker and an amazing team @jungwon217 @eddiemarritz @albertotmojica @ashpan64 #GiriKadurugamuwa across the world to Sri Lanka to meet the rainforest and it’s stewards. We’re going with the @RainforestAlliance, visiting their partners on the ground to tell stories of sustainability and survival.
If you’ve just started following me -- Damani and I met 7 years ago shooting a spot for the climate organization @350org. I had written a script and recruited a cast, and a friend introduced me to Damani who agreed to direct! He’s been a filmmaker for 15 years, producing everything from museum and advertising content to directing features, most recently Still Bill, about musician Bill Withers. As for me, I've worked as a model for the past 13 years. Fashion opened my eyes to the power of art and culture to progress society. Now I work at creative activism, everything from organizing supermodels to march for the climate, to writing, to working as a creative campaign strategist. Together we’re always looking for ways to bridge the political, the activist, and the arts. I think we aspire to this -- “In a relationship, when you and your partner share the same kind of aspiration, you become an instrument of love and peace in the world. You begin as a community of two people, and then you can grow your community. In the practice center where I live, there are over a hundred of us. We have the same concerns, the same desires, and the same future.” -Thich Nhat Hanh
