I'm swimming in THE BERKELEY CITY CLUB which was built in 1929 and designed by architect Julia Morgan -- the 1rst woman to gain admission and earn a certificate from the Ecole de Beaux-Arts in Paris (1902) and the first licensed female architect in California. Originally the club house of the Berkeley Women's City Club, it was a place to organize women to contribute to social, civic, and cultural progress. Now open to the public.
