Tech Tip Tuesday: Wow, what a day right? Most of us here in North America woke to terrible news from Europe — and besides feeling deep sadness, these events have a way of selfishly making you question the importance of your own decisions and goals. 'What’s the point of working on my art if there are people suffering halfway across the world’ - you know? Which leads me to a quote I heard recently from famed rock climber, and gear pioneer Johnny Woodward. He said… "By itself, climbing means nothing. But how it influences our lives beyond the crags means everything.” What I love about the quote is that it explains, simply, the idea that if you have a passion in life… be it climbing, skiing, painting, photography, film… it unknowingly rules your life 24hrs a day and you live your life better because of it. From the midnight epics in search of the perfect star trail shot, saving pennies for that new camera lens, or the drive halfway across the country in search of perfect powder— like it or not your passion influences nearly every decision you make. So people may ask, what good can come from posting a photo of a couple friends looking out over a beach in Norway on a day like today? When... truth be told, the photo by itself will probably be forgotten in a few seconds time... But I hope that the stories I tell, the friendly collabs, and the work that I share as a whole ARE memorable and effect you all in a positive way. I know chasing these shots has been for me. And that my friends is my tech tip of the day: if you have a passion in life, something you dream about… chase after it with all you have. Do it now. You and everyone around will be better for it, not necessarily for the summits you achieve but for how you live your life in pursuit of them. ?? #techtiptuesday
