On March 8th, #InternationalWomenDay, #Oracle Women’s Leadership (#OWL) hosted the Second Annual Bloomingdale’s Fashion Show benefiting Dress for Success San Jose. OWL Bay Area communities partnered with Bloomingdale's for an afternoon of fun, food, fashion and fundraising. This year, six Oracle models showcased beautiful outfits featuring bold colors and floral themes for the spring season with an emphasis on personal style and creative usage of accessories.
Dress for Success is an international organization with 130 affiliates spanning sixteen countries. The donations of money, clothing, accessories and mentoring from professional women help these aspiring women launch into the workforce. Over 100 OWL members attended the event and donated cash, professional clothing and accessories to the cause. The grand total raised at Dress for Success San Jose was $3,825. This event further raised awareness of helping to promote and assist with the economic independence of disadvantaged women.
From March 1st to 30th, OWL Bay Area will continue to collect professional women’s clothing and accessories benefiting Dress for Success San Jose. You can make your donations at the following Oracle Bay Area locations: Redwood Shores, Santa Clara, Pleasanton and San Francisco. Please bring your lightly used women’s clothing and help make a difference. Thank you to all who came out and supported the event and donated.
