Three Days of Water, photograph by @alisonwrightphoto [4 of 10] India, Agra. The challenge lay before me: How does one photograph an image as iconic as the Taj Mahal that’s been photographed so many times before and make it my own? My solution was to hire a small boat to bring me across the Yamuna River to the backside every morning. Here on the river village, life unfolds in the early dawn as fisherman emerge with their nets, locals perform their early morning ablutions, animals come to drink, and sadhus take their holy dip, all with the exquisite Taj Mahal almost as a forgotten back-drop. Sponsored by @StellaArtois: With a lack of access to clean water throughout the world, people spend hours each day collecting water for their families, stifling their chances for opportunities such as education and employment. @StellaArtois has partnered with @Water to help raise awareness of the global water crisis in developing countries, and is donating proceeds from the purchase of all limited-edition Chalices to help give clean water to those in need. For each chalice sold, you can help provide 5 years of clean water for a woman and her family in the developing world.
