Photo by @Tim Laman shot on assignment for @ナショナルジオグラフィック in Borneo. A male Proboscis Monkey feeding on leaves along a river in Borneo, gets his name from his giant nose. The main purpose of the nose seems to be to impress females. Proboscis monkeys are an endangered species found only on the island of Borneo, in both the Malaysian and Indonesian parts of the island. Just another species depending on #rainforest habitat here! From my archive of past @ナショナルジオグラフィック stories.
