It’s true: The North Pacific is one rolling cauldron of swell...but apart from a couple sporadic days, Maverick's has remained stubbornly out of the spotlight. Ironically, the same weather pattern that's creating all this swell -- El Nino -- is exactly what's dumping tons of rain and south winds on NorCal, like yesterday. The Titans of Mavericks, many of whom have been chasing these swells from Hawaii to Mexico, are ready. Just praying for at least one day of high pressure and light winds in between storms.
