So I always get asked why or how I'm single and I guess it comes down to the fact that my two beautiful children are my world. I've been a single parent for three years now and wouldn't change a second of it. I remember crying my eyes out to my mother the night that it happened, I'd just come out of hospital from a breast reconstruction and my son at a year old was crying for a cuddle but I wasn't allowed to lift anything or pick him up. Overnight I because a useless duck completely reliant on somebody helping me but the only time I asked for help was what saw me on my own. My 6yr engagement gone in a puff of smoke. I cried for a couple of weeks, didn't eat or sleep, the usual heartbreak recipe and my mum told me not to waste my tears on those who don't appreciate you because someday life will be better and the bad times will make sense. Well my children are the apple of my eye, they make me smile everyday and I've never regretted a single sacrifice that I've made for them. Not all men are capable of raising their own children, not all men can stand the thought of raising another mans child and not all men realise that I'm not just a 28yr old woman I'm also a mother, best friend and superhero to my two amazing babies.
