There is much to celebrate, and also many issues to consider as we look ahead and try to protect these parks for future generations. See the Jan 2015 issue of National Geographic magazine and other articles throughout this year for special coverage on US National Parks. Taking kids to National Parks is a wonderful way to inspire them with the wonders of nature, and it is so rewarding to see their eyes get big or their jaws drop when they see sights like the sunrise hitting the Grand Canyon.
