@Tim Laman photo. Beaver lodge and forest reflections. Early December and the pond is just starting to freeze over at Heywood Meadow in Walden Pond State Reservation, very near to #WaldenPond itself. Beavers have taken up residence here for a number of years now, and have flooded the meadow with their dam. Now probably holed up in their cozy lodge for winter, they won’t be seen till spring. #beaver, #Massachusetts, #HenryDavidThoreau #NewEngland, @thephotosociety, @NatGeoCreative.
