Kids. I am one. I will not "grow up" and loose my kid energy.
This year Carlos Buhler and I taught a bunch of children @thebozemanicefest on Saturday the 12th of December. We learned the basics of climbing, brewed hot chocolate and shared a few "fun sized" candy bars when the energy ebbed.
At the end of the day the children had made new friends. The posse of boys mined a hole in the ice. (Every fifth word was dude??!) The youngest, clad in ski boots and modified crampons, slid down the hill and built dream castles out of blocks of ice. At the end of the day no one was injured and we piled a dozen soggy kids into a few station wagons. They slept well and, hopefully, enjoyed a day to remember.
