Photo by @andywcoleman // We enjoy South Africa in the dry season for many reasons, such as fewer insects, concentrated wildlife around watering holes, and less vegetation making it easier to spot animals When it comes to photographing lion, leopard and cheetah, the dry grasses often provide a beautiful backdrop for the big cats. This male was resting in a non-photogenic patch of dirt, but after he got up to stretch, he repositioned himself in some nice tall golden grass that was perfect for a portrait. #bigcats @natgeocreative
