Ethereal unnamed summits of Chile's previously-unexplored Cordillera Sarmiento rise above a sea of fog that hides a maze of twisting #fjords below. Out of 55 days that our @ナショナルジオグラフィック #expedition spent here, mostly beset by screaming winds and blinding snow or rain, only five were good enough to see the peaks (much less climb them!) I shot the picture from the summit of the second highest peak in this Patagonian range that was still unmapped at the time. #mountains #chile #cordillerasarmiento #patagonia #andes
