About the Shot- This shot was captured last September and is one of my favorites for many reasons. I got a last minute phone call from a friend saying he had two seats open to go heli-skiing in #Chile – I booked my trip the second we hung up! Next thing I know I was on a plane to ski in the Andes. We stayed in #Santiago and flew from the city each day to the #Andes. The weather was super unpredictable throughout the week – we only had one day with skiable weather and I had a short window to get the shot. I heard “green light, green light, mission is a go - meet downstairs in 15 minutes!” With no time to set up my #GoPro, I went with my go-to head mount to capture everything I needed.

How the Shot was Captured: I had my #HERO4Black set to .5s #timelapse mode, linked it up to the #GoProApp checking the angle from my head and let it rip. My goal was to capture everything from the day. After a 20 minute flight from Santiago we were dropped off at the top of the peak. It was completely silent, a bit overcast, and all you could hear was the blades from the #heli. It was unreal. Then, the heli then picked up and ripped down the mountain steeper and faster than anything I’ve ever seen and all I could think about was how happy I was that I didn’t get my head chopped off. It took me a minute to realize I captured the whole thing in time lapse mode from my head mount. For this shot I had Pro tune on, Sharpness low, ISO 100, GoPro color which helped so the shot wasn’t blown out. #GoProSnow #LastMinuteAdventure #TakeMeBack
