About the Shot: As I was skiing around @MammothMountain looking for some shoot locations, I saw Duke, our #ski patrol dog, who always puts a smile on my face. Duke was doing his weekly #avalanche training where the patrol team buries articles of clothing in a mock avalanche. I watched Duke from afar and as he found his last fake victim, he started jumping and rolling around in excitement. I skied up to him and congratulated him on his task of the day. He was stoked!
How the Shot was Captured: Duke was jumping up and down with excitement of his accomplishment. I had my #HERO4Black with the LCD BacPac attached to it in the frame on #TheHandler. I loosened the frame screw and pulled the camera back as far it would ago and then retightened the screw. Holding the handle in my fingers with my thumb on the trigger button, I rolled around on the ground with Duke cheering him on and snapping photos as fast as I could. We ended up playing around for a good while and then it was time to go. As he was jumping up and down on this last shot, I hit the trigger without looking at the LCD BacPac but I knew every photo was gold because of his smile and the fresh snow in the foreground. Good thing no one was around recording video because I’d probably look funny acting like a dog on my hands and knees!! Camera was set to 30/3s Burst-Mode with Pro Tune on, Sharpness low, ISO 400 with GoPro color. #GoProSnow #DogsOfInstagram #SnowFun
